Come join on Thursday, February 11th, 6-7:30 pm for our FYE baking social and learn how to bake slutty brownies - layers of oreo, cookie, and brownie! Sign up by Thursday, February 18th; Fridays, February 19th-April 9th 1-2 PM: Purpose of Power Book Club with Black Unity Center and First-Year Experience

Read The Purpose of Power by SFSU alumna and #BlackLivesMatter co-founder Alicia Garza with the Black Unity Center and the First-Year Experience. We will meet every Friday, 12 - 1 from February 19 - April 9th. This will be facilitated by Tarshel Beards, Black Unity Center Director, and Makaela Mabrey, First-Year Experience Peer Mentor. Thursday, February 18th, 6-7 PM: Painting and Self Love 

Join us on Thursday, February 18th, 6-7 pm for our FYE Valentines Day themed painting session while practicing self love! Come hangout for an evening of stress relieving painting, all with the focus of loving yourself! Monday, May 3rd 11-12:15 PM: Then and Now: Remember the 1968 SF State Student Strike

Learn from 1968 SFSU Student Strikers as they share their experiences in the strike, how their activism prepared them for life, and perspectives about contemporary student activism. The panelists will include: Carmen Carrillo, Kitty Epstein, Jimmy Garrett, Danny Glover, Penny Nakatsu, Jerry Varnado. RSVP here.

Monday, May 3rd 7-8 PM: Discord Game Night

Join us next Monday, May 3rd @ 7PM for a first-year game night on the FYE Discord! We’ll be playing a round of Kahoot and voting for another game (Among Us, Skribbl.io, or Cards Against Humanity) via poll. We’ll be hosting this via the Discord voice channel, so please feel free to hop onto the server through the link.
